Expression
Have we forgotten how to listen with our eyes? A museum is not just about walking past a painting or sculpture, it requires us to tap into the artist's craft and be brave enough to be still, to take in what we are meant to receive. This can and will be different for each person and sometimes we do not connect. That is okay too.
If I could I would live above a gallery so I could draw in this energy everyday. Art for me is like breathing air, an injection of inspiration, focus, life.
I could stand in front of the same painting or sculpture today and have a totally different experience from a visit last week, last month, or last year. That is the beauty of art, music, words – they push us and challenge us to see or feel what is hidden deep inside.
Do these images find that part deep inside?
Colors, vibrant… cracks in the paint
Souls peer through charcoal eyes
Light, Refraction
The mural’s story a visceral truth
What happens when you truly look …
What do you feel?
